POSITION SUMMARY: Under the general direction, a Project Manager is responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects. Manages the activities related to the design, specification, documentation, implementation, and maintenance of assigned projects. The Project Manager takes projects from its inception thru deployment. This position interfaces with all areas affected by the project, including business users, IT and functional management. A Project’s Manager’s main goal is to successfully and effectively organize and execute applications development projects in order to provide necessary business solutions. The Project Manager’s role on projects is to: analyzes, designs, plans, organizes and coordinates assigned applications to include feasibility, package review, time/cost estimates, project planning, business specifications, program coding, testing, system documentation and implementation. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Participate in full technology project life cycle (analysis, design and or package review, development, testing, quality assurance, deployment, and production support). Responsible for analyzing job requirements, preparing specifications, and preparing time and cost estimates for systems development work. Responsible for analyzing, programming and implementing modifications to existing systems required by changes in the business environment. Participate in the design and documentation of complex technology solutions. Document and/or support application deployment activities. Report on status of systems and projects on a regular and timely basis. Escalate anticipated risk to management promptly and properly. Ensure the timely resolution of issues. Develop strategic partnerships with systems and business management and develop understanding of business unit’s goals and processes. Able to work with team members and independently. Ability to recognize the need for improvement in existing process/applications, present solutions and implementation plan to team. Perform additional duties as required. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education-B.S., B.A. in Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or equivalent job experience. Experience: Six to eight years experience in data processing with full-life cycle development experience the equivalent of: two – three years experience in system’s design and specification, two – three years of programming experience and four years in project management. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with project management methodologies and techniques. Demonstrated past experience with Project Tracking tools, i.e., Planview, Microsoft Project. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with SDLC methodologies. Good understanding of and ability to apply the principles of software design, operational characteristics of systems, networking and testing. Must have experience working within a highly technical environment (Microsoft, and .Net a plus). Knowledge of Relational Databases and database applications. Strong analytical and problem solving skills are required. Goal oriented and able to work independently (with minimal supervision) and ability to work cooperatively with peers in order to share and enhance technical and project management knowledge. Proven track record of developing and implementing complex technical solution in cross-functional team environment. Experience assembling comprehensive software development estimates and budgets. Experience working with business clients and ability to establish and maintain effective business partnership with internal customers in order to fully understand the business requirements and to manage internal client expectations. Strong Leadership qualities and excellent interpersonal skills (both written and verbal). Ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced environment. Experience delivering wide variety of software solutions including: web-based, Internet, intranet, c/s and n-tier architecture solutions. Possible travel required. Experience with Agile Methodology a plus. Desired Qualifications: Formal Education-PMI Certification a plus. Experience: Automotive Finance.
