Role Summary:
This position collaborates with subject matter experts to design, develop and deliver eLearning content and assessments that meet adult learning principles and the needs of the business. It is part of VCI Academy, reporting to the Learning and Development Lead responsible for leadership and employee development.

Role Responsibilities:
• Collaborates with subject matter experts to determine eLearning needs, objectives, and course content.
• Updates, designs, develops and produces web-based training and assessments. Conducts research as needed to develop course content and/or integrate into blended learning solutions.
• Builds varied web-based learning activities (interactive exercises, games, quizzes, etc.) into courses to help employees learn and practice what they need to know and do.
• Tests and troubleshoots web-based courses for functionality and appearance on stage and in production; works with vendor(s) as needed to resolve performance issues.
• Writes and designs job aids and reference documents.
• Programs and packages course content for integration with LMS.
• Designs graphic elements for web-based courses, presentations and print programs.
• Assist in training and supporting the development of eLearning Intern.

• 5+ years developing and producing interactive eLearning, with a strong portfolio to demonstrate that work.
• Bachelor’s Degree in in Instructional Technology, Instructional Learning Systems, Education, Business or related field
• Instructional design skills in an online and interactive environment
• Skilled in application of web-based authoring software (Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Lectora, HTML) to training
• Understanding of SCORM requirements
• Skilled in implementing eLearning and web solutions within learning management systems
• Graphic design skills
• Knowledge of adult learning theory, specialized in online learning

• Master’s Degree in Instructional Technology, Instructional Learning Systems, Education, Business or related field
• eLearning certificate from ASTD or other recognized certifying learning organization

• Effective communication skills – interpersonal, presentation and written (excellent spelling/grammar)
• Strong attention to detail, process and quality (precision and consistency a must)
• Analytical thinking and ability to solve problems both collaboratively and independently
• Strong customer orientation and stakeholder relation skills
• Ability to present information in a way that is engaging to learners and simple to understand
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; strong orientation to process and quality
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, effectively manage multiple priorities and deliver results within tight timelines

Work Flexibility:
• Minimal travel required
