Quality Analyst

Role Summary:
Product Support is the primary quality liaison group between the factories. The role of the Quality Analyst is to develop, implement, and maintain technical warranty claim categorizations within the internally-developed text mining tool and create topic packages for Product Support Engineers. Additionally, the role will be involved in factory meetings, support technical projects and new vehicle launches.

Role Responsibilities:
Text Mining Development (70%)
• Develop, implement, and maintain technical warranty claim categorizations to support the vehicle quality improvement (FAP) process
• Review technical warranty claim output on a weekly basis to ensure accuracy
• Continuously improve updating process and handover process with engineers

Process Understanding and Collaboration (20%)
• Work directly with Product Support Engineers to understand topic categorizations and handover topics categorized by internal text mining tool
• Work closely with Data Scientist and Data Engineer to create synergies within group and grow text mining functions
• Attend reoccurring factory topic meetings to understand processes

Support Technical Projects (10%)
• Support internal data team projects using automotive technical knowledge and understanding
• Support tow-in project to ensure all data is continuously maintained and monitored

Required Experience:
• 4+ years professional experience
• 2+ year Business Objects experience

Required Education:
• Bachelor degree in Statistics, Data Science, Management or related field

Required Skills:
• Automotive technical knowledge/experience
• Basic knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Desired Education:
• Master's degree in related field

Desired Skills:
• Working knowledge of automotive warranty systems and processes
• Entry level Python coding language knowledge
• Ability to understand and communicate trends in large amounts of data
